Superintendent Search
The Prospect Heights School District 23 Board of Education has officially launched its search for a new Superintendent of Schools to lead the district into its next chapter. The incoming leader will succeed Dr. Don Angelaccio, who previously announced his intent to retire at the end of the 2026–2027 school year after 15 years of dedicated service to the students, staff, and community. The new superintendent will assume official duties on July 1, 2027.

Key Details of the November 3rd Referendum Measure:
Rate Adjustment: A proposed $0.35 increase in the tax rate.
Estimated Tax Impact: An estimated $28 per month ($336 annually) for the owner of a home with a market value of $350,000.
Revenue Generation: The measure will generate up to $4 million annually in new, locally controlled funding.
Purpose: Funds will directly support maintaining essential instructional programs, retaining qualified staff, and preserving key student support services.
If approved by voters, the additional revenue will allow the district to stabilize its operating budget and minimize deeper disruptions to classroom learning and extracurricular opportunities.
